Panel

Jean Becker
Jean lived in a place with no Mensa group twenty-five years ago. She and a friend decided to start an area group in Ann Arbor, and the rest just kind of followed. Jean is the Chair of American Mensa and a member of the Executive Committee of Mensa International.
Marghretta McBean, Region 1 Vice-Chair
Marghretta McBean has been Region 1's Vice Chair, representing New England, most of New York and Northern New Jersey, since July 2003. This is her first LDW as an organizer. She firmly believes that while leadership can be taught, leaders are born, but may be made.

Goals

After a presentation and group discussion, each participant will be able to:
  1. Explain the advantages of becoming involved beyond the activities of a local group.
  2. Explain how to become involved in Mensa at the Regional level.
  3. Explain how to become involved in Mensa at the National level.
  4. Explain how to become involved in MERF (Mensa Educational & Research Foundation).
  5. Explain how to become involved in national contests.
  6. Explain how to become involved in Mensa at the International level.
